Every Wednesday, a team of people from Queen Street and other local churches runs a youth club in Kirk Hallam.   This is one of a number of projects that the church is running in Kirk Hallam, and it provides both a social meeting point for teenagers, and a place where those who want to can ask questions and talk about Jesus and the life he brings.

Queen Street has a team of people working every week in local schools. The "Open the Book" team presents Bible stories in primary school assemblies each week, using sketches, songs, visual aids and dramatised readings.

With questions about our youth or children's work, contact our children’s worker,

Claire Brindley, on children@ilkestonbaptistchurch.org.

At least some of the teens at the Kirk Hallam night seem to think it's not bad!

And on Sundays, we run a Sunday School

in the Kirk Hallam "Manna House" for local children.

“Meltdown”, a club for children between the ages of 10 and 13, meets at Queen Street at 7.00 p.m. on Fridays.  Evenings of (fairly?) sensible games alternate with outdoor games or trips.
